ABOUT ANDREA SEARBY

COMPASSIONATE AND EFFECTIVE SERVICE

I serve as the senior paralegal to Marjorie Heinrich and Ethan Wimert at Heinrich Law.  For more than a decade, I have cultivated extensive legal support skills and experience in all areas of civil litigation.

After graduating from U.C. Berkeley in 2007 with a degree in Rhetoric, I worked almost exclusively at personal injury law firms.  I have always felt most at home supporting attorneys who represent people who have been injured, often severely, because of the fault of others.  Prior to Heinrich Law, I began working with Marjorie Heinrich in 2009 as senior paralegal at a large Bay Area plaintiffs’ personal injury law firm.

Ensuring excellent communication with clients

As senior paralegal, I’m passionate about my role in ensuring excellent communication between our clients and every member of our firm and have spoken on this topic at industry conferences.  I have served as the moderator and chief speaker for the paralegal panel at an annual convention held by the Consumer Attorneys of California, presenting on the non- attorney’s role in attorney-client communication.

I continue to find joy in helping bring experienced, personalized representation to people who’ve been seriously injured because someone broke the rules. I deeply value Heinrich Law’s case-by-case approach to maximizing a client’s recovery, in which there is no substitute for experience and the unique team dynamics forged through more than a decade of working together.

Passionate athlete and cyclist

Outside of the office, I’m a lifelong athlete, fitness enthusiast, and regional actor.

Having lived in the East Bay Area my entire life, I’m familiar with our great outdoor spaces. There is nothing quite like an early morning summer trail run or group bike ride through the Berkeley hills. During the 2020 lockdowns, I seized upon my colleagues’ lengthy open water swimming experience and spent some joyous – if cold! – time braving the Berkeley Marina and Aquatic Park.

During my 10+ years of road cycling, I have also spent considerable time as a commuter cyclist. This has given me an extra layer of passion about issues concerning roadway safety and awareness, and I take a particular interest in our firm’s cases involving cyclists.
